This is my personal Chang Jiang. Anno domini is now getting the better of me and getting my leg over this bike is a problem, as is getting off! It is 1959 manufactured, but the V5 says 1954. The DVLA never makes mistakes so it must be 1954 even if production only started in 1955! It has 280 watt 12 volt alternator electrics, starter motor, indicators and reverse gear. Well advanced for 1954, or even 1959. Extras include pillion seat, mirrors and leg shields. I have fitted stainless rims and spokes and have reinforced the TLS front brake drum and fitted a British made, less stretchy, front brake cable. New current price for a bike of this specification, on the road, is now over £12,000 if not £13,000. Save well over half the new price! It has been thoroughly checked over and serviced and is now ready to ride away.
